What has Jesus done for us?
In the Bible, God reveals to us that Jesus came
to earth to seek and save you from being lost to God, because of sin
(that nature that seeks to live independent of God, that shows in
thought, word, and deed), Luke 19:10.
Jesus came to show you the love of God, 1 John
4:19. Jesus
came to call you to God, Matthew 9:13.
Jesus came to make us a family with God, Hebrews
2:11.
Jesus was sent to
manifest God’s attributes, powers, and plans for our lives, Hebrews
1:3a; John 10:37-38; Jeremiah 29:1.
He was sent to die in the place of all people for our sins {our
attitudes and actions that do not glorify, or manifest, God’s
attributes, or please Him, John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 1 Thessalonians 4:14).
Through trusting in
Jesus’ finished works (sinless life; undeserved death, miraculous
resurrection, and ascension) people who confess to God their sinfulness,
repent of continuing to live that way, are enabled by God’s grace to be
forgiven of their sins; enable to live in right relationship God while
one earth; and enabled to one day live with God where He lives – in
heaven, John 1:12-13; 1 John 1:9; Mark 1:15; Acts 3:19; 17:30; Ephesians
2:5b; Psalm 23:6.
