God’s Light in Jesus Brings Peace

Isa. 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Mic. 5:4-5a “He will stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God. And they will live securely, for then His greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. And He will be their peace.”

Lk. 7:50 “Jesus said to the woman [Lazarus’ sister, Mary, Jn. 11:2] ‘Your faith has saved you; go in peace.’ ”

Jn. 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Acts 10:36 “You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.”

Phile. 1:3 “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Cor. 14:33 “… God is not a God of disorder but of peace.”

God’s Light in us brings His Peace

Jn. 15:5, NASB, “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

2 Thess. 3:16 “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way ...”

Rom. 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Ps. 1:2 “… his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His [God’s] law he meditates day and night.”

Isa. 26:3 “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You.”

Rom. 8:6 “The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; …”

Phil. 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
